NEW YORK, NY – The Outlaw Roadshow founded by the Counting Crows’ songwriter Adam Duritz and New England music personality + music blogger Ryan Spaulding announce they will host an integrated night of live music during The Grid this May. The 3-day event will feature over 100 multi-genre intimate and unique performances, special curated shows, inspiring storyteller sessions and opportunities for aspiring artists to learn how to navigate today’s music industry.

It’s so cool that we get the chance to do The Outlaw Roadshow during The Grid,” Duritz said.  “I’ve said it before but… Whenever The Outlaw Roadshow happens, that’s always my favorite time of year.”

The Grid aims to create a collaborative environment for all types of artists, musicians and fans to come together and celebrate music’s past, present and future. Announced performances include: Young The Giant, St. Lucia, City & Colour, Ingrid Michaelson, Frank Turner, AWOLNATION, Neon Indian, Best Coast, Butch Walker, Atlas Genius, Questlove, The Bouncing Souls, Kaleo, Bronze Radio Return, COIN, Hey Marseilles, Jared & The Mill, The Lighthouse and The Whaler, Lolo, Max, and Twin Forks. Joining them are NY favorites San Fermin, Sunflower Bean, Haerts, Oberhofer, Beacon, Sam King, and more.

The mission statements of The Grid and The Outlaw Roadshow are well aligned,” said Spaulding who is a music panelist at SXSW 2016. “What you have here are music lovers on both sides who care about the discovery process for fans as much as we love the artists. Both groups need one another and so the music industry works needs to evolve with the music. This is set to be a bold execution of amazing, carefully curated brilliance.”

About The Outlaw Roadshow: The singer and writer met during a press interview in 2008 as Counting Crows were about to release their Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings album. They became fast friends and decided they wanted to find a way to work together. The Outlaw was born. After the first few Roadshows blew up in Austin and in New York City, The Outlaw founders knew they were on to something. With at least four events in 2016 slated – the first of which set for Grid NY, this will be the best year for The Outlaw Roadshow yet.
